In November 2009 the Tyrolean store group MPreis started the charity campaign "Africa Shopping Bag" in favour of St. Francis Hospital, Ifakara.
By buying these bags customers of MPreis donated the unbelievable sum of 40.000 Euro.
On March 1st Mag. Anton Mölk und Mag. Ingrid Heinz presented the cheque to our association. It has significantly contributed to financing an X-ray device and a solar plant at St. Francis Hospital.
We express our warm gratitude to all customers of MPreis for their generous support.

In the course of this year's general meeting the Boy Scouts group Reutte gave a donation of € 800.-- to our association. The girls and boys collected the money on the occasion of handing over the Christmas peace light to the people.
We say "thank you" to all the members of the Boy Scouts for their praiseworthy action.

On Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 the high school for tourism in Landeck hold a galadinner in favour of St. Francis Hospital. A multi-course meal was composed and served by the students. The guests were entertained by the well-known band "Die Ohrenschmalzler".

On Friday, Oct 2, 2009, an "Autumn Ball" under the motto "A Feast for Ifakara", organized by Dr. Elisabeth Achammer and Atti Pahl, took place at Villa Blanka, Innsbruck.
The renowned Franz-Posch-Combo with singer Atti Pahl led the guests through the evening, creating a wonderful atmosphere and stimulating the guests to dance. To everyone's joy, African culinary delights were prepared by the students. To recover from strenuous dancing, the guests could either "storm" the bar or try their luck with roulette and Black Jack.
Net profit will be used for the purchase of a new X-ray device for St. Francis Hospital.
